This is an old revision of the document!

TOYS

This section explains the difference between learned toys and toys based on age. It also lists all toys based on age, according to the age of the child.

In order for a child to use a toy “based on age”, that child must also be current in all OSTRTA licenses. So a 5 month old child, must have 5 OSTRTA licenses.

LEARNED TOYS

learned toys are toys which your child has learned through his or her OSTRTA license. These toys vary by child, since each child is unique. You will see something like “Begins 11-13 months”, this means a child should learn this toy at 11, 12 or 13 months. This does NOT mean the child only play with the toy for 2 months.

As an example we have the coloring book, the coloring book can be learned as early as 11 months, but much older children can still use it. So please check the description field of the box at the toy store for age ranges. If you see “11m-20y”, this means a child can use this toy from 11 months until 20 years of age. You may also see “11-144m” this means 11 months of age until 144 months of age.

FUNSIES children grow a month in age every 30 days. So a baby 90 days old is 3 months, a baby 360 days old is 1 year, etc.

TOYS BY AGE

These are toys based on the baby's beginning age, but may end until they are 20 years, so don't walk beyond the 5 month old toys thinking “my child is too old”, many are for multi-aged children and listing the boxes in each age section would create quite a confusing mess.
